I didn't get to read the rules and I haven't been to this part of Ayala Cebu for awhile but it's nice to know they have this. It is located near the information booth on the ground floor in front of Guess. The great thing about this is, it is free :-)

Android Froyo 2.2 VS IOS4 or Iphone VS HTC Nexus One
I was doing some research this morning to determine which is a worth device to replace my Iphone 3GS. and I found this, mite be of help to others who are in the same boat as I am.
You better check this Video, looks now I am also really leaning toward the android.
One of the factors that keeps me stuck to the iphone is the multitouch smoothness and of course, browsing, the browser just allows for a more pleasant experience, speed is of course the key, but I guess not anymore, not WITH Froyo having flash running and having few secs delay only over the safari with no flash support on the Iphone.
The things I hate the most on the Iphone are Contact management + Sync to one PC with itunes, they just suck.
I will probably end up with an ANDROID+Itouch or ANDROID+Ipad., PROBABLY but not definitely.
Enjoy!

Canon 60D Is coming to town
Look's like my craving for the 550D will have to be suppressed. I will wait for this full framed brother with HD VIDEO to come out. Well I am still assuming it will have HD video, heck, if they don't put it on the 60D, it will be a crappy camera.
Can't wait!

Ainol 3.5" Customized Earphone Antenna for FM Transmitter
Hey Guys, well if this wont work I plan to get this one tom:
http://www.symbian-freak.com/news/008/03/fm_antenna.htm
This is where I got the idea from first seeing it at www.mp4nation.com
The dangling headphone just looks bad so I came up with this idea, I made this tonight and will test it on my car tomorrow morning.
If it works I will post photos of the process. It looks kinda ugly, I plan to wrap it in rubber tape to make it look better if it works. The goal here is not to buy anything anymore OR spend as little as possible.
Instead of using an old headphone, I found a spare 3.5" jack to RCA. This would be cheaper to use/cut.
Materials Used:
1.) Old 3.5" to RCA Stereo Cable (you may use any old headphones as well)
2.) Paperclip
3.) Scissors
4.) Your Finger to bend the clip (lol, this is the hardest part as it require you to bring out the artist in you)
Here is how the Finish product looked like:
UPDATE:
It Works!!!! Will post guide photos later.
Update here are the Guide photos:
Its better to have the antenna face down than face up because the radio is at the bottom. The pictures should speak for itself but if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Turn your itouch into an IPHONE! Yes, an IPHONE!
Yes, thats what this device claims to do. The Apple Peel 520 is an itouch case that will allow you to put on any sim card on it. This will then turn you itouch into a mobile phone. It is also equipped with a microphone as well. I think this device will be sell like hotcakes once it is out. I myself wouldn't mind getting one to try out.

Ainol Portable Media Player FM Transmitter Test
Please listen carefully to the clarity of the Audio. If you want to use the built in FM Transmitter of the Ainol PMPs you need to plug in an audio headset which acts as an antenna. Thanks to the Warrior Poet of www.mp4nation.com for the info! It works!
FYI: This system is setup in my car for my daughter to watch a move from the the rear car seat in place and not for me.

Canon Launches New Ixus and Vixia in Cebu
I would say this is a rare occasion since this is the first time Canon has ever done a product launching in Cebu. They have finally heard the cries of the Cebuano Canon enthusiasts who have screamed all the way to Manila "Hey there are a lot of Canon users here too!!"
First I would like to thank Canon for inviting techisland to their event. It is an honor to represent the techies of Cebu and voice out what Canon has in store for us through the interweb.
As soon as we arrived, Canon immediately handed out a press kit containing of course details of the products that were launched and some freebies worth mentioning first :-D
A Patriot 4Gb Flash Drive and a Canon DSLR Bag Tag which immediately hopped off the bag and attached itself to my Vanguard Up Rise bag! Thank you Canon for these great give aways.
Mr. Max Otadoy, Sales Supervisor of Canon Cebu, also a very good friend of mine introduced us to some of Canons Key People.
Ms. Jill Santiago-Marketing Manager for Consumer Systems Division, Ms. Margarita Escueta-Manager
for Corporate Communications, Ms. Ernalov/Balot- Marketing Manger of the Camera Division and lastly Mr. Bong Serevo-Vice President Administrative Group. There were many more Canon VIP's arround but I did not have a chance to meet all of them.
Canon really sent the best of the best to show the Cebuano's the latest Canon Gears.
They also expounded on the latest developments of their Pixma printers and reiterated the need to use original inks. If we use original Inks, the picture will last longer and will also protect the life of the printer itself and the most expensive part of the printer, the printer head. Canon is now number two in the Country in terms of printing. If you ask me, if you want photo printing, I think Canon is the way to go. I tested out the Canon Pixbridge technology by printing some photos straight of my DSLR and the pics came out Delicious :-9 Check out the photos on the left. Borderless printing at its best and you can even do some on the fly editing right at your cam, changing the brightness, adding a little contrast or just plain cropping, amazing really. For those who trust their skills and think they don't need to edit, they don't even need to buy a computer anymore. Yum! Canon Also highlighted WIRELESS Printing. You can print wireless vie Bluetooth or printers with built in Witless functions. I wasn't able to test the wireless printing during the event but I do hope I can get a review sample to or maybe I will just head down the nearest computer shop and get me a new Canon Photo Printer!
Kudos to Canon for a succesfull event and looking forward to more events in the future!

The Latest Canon Equipment
The IXUS 300- Equipped with a back-illuminated 10 megapixel CMOS sensor, 3.8x, 28-106mm lens with a fastest aperture of f/2.0 and optical image stabiliser, 3.7 frames per second burst mode at full resolution, Video Recording Capabilities that record 720p HD Movies PLUS stereo sound which you can then plug directly to your HD TV via it's built in HDMI port, a 3 inch LCD screen, and Aperture and Shutter Priority exposure modes. This Camera comes in different Colors 1.) blasted steel silver 2.)Glossy White 3.)Matt Black and my Favorite 4.) High gloss red which just spelled Ferrari all over it. The design is very masculine compared to previous Ixus models. Because of the Slanting edges, it very much mimics a sports car ready to zoom away. We will put this baby to the test once we get our hands on the actual review unit Canon promised to send us next week. You will then be able to see Webxclusive unboxing vid and of course the actual review on Techisland, RCTV Channel 36 Season 4.
I personally like these new lines of video cams since they are more affordable and more practical to buy. Moving to SD is a very smart thing to do, it lowers the cost down drastically make these HD Video Cameras more affordable.
After they presented this Camera to us, they then showed us the latest video Cameras. I will let Canon tell you more about it on their official Press release below.
