Wifi Hack Solution for local establishments

Well, my topic this morning on TECHISLAND Radio was this-



Play it Safe, get an extra wifi for your clients, separate from your existing home/office network.



It is so easy for hackers, even noob ones, to hack into a wifi system, unfortunately, most often then not, your WIFI is connected to the same network that your Computers are connected to. What does this mean? it means that if someone can hack into your wifi system and he can easily have access to your network/date/files etc.., unless of course you have an IT manager who monitors network activity 24/7 which I'm sure 99% of all public establishments like restaurants or coffee shops don't.



Solution:

Since DSL or Broadband connections has become so cheap nowadays it would be easy for you to setup a second network to provide wireless internet connection for your clients. Atleast this way, you and your personal/business data will be safe from hackers.



There are other means of securing your network like mac address log ins etc..but unfortunately, they will require you to have a little more technical ability to implement them.

So, Play it Safe.
