HTC Touch Pro 2

How I wish I could have done this review myself, well, when this will be available in the Philippines, I will surely review it. In the meantime here are a couple of videos that will just make you drool over this device.

My short take upon seeing these videos
- I know that start menu of the touch pro 2 would still take a lot of getting use too but hey, there is always this free application called QUICKMENU which I find will give me an even better user experience. I always have it on my HTC TOUCH DUAL.


-The Screen size is a definite plus for me. In fact, before the HTC Touch Pro 2, my eye was set on the HTC TOUCH HD. There was even rumor they would call the HTC Touch Pro 2 as the HTC TOUCH HD 2 instead.

-They Definitely also improved speed on both phone operation and touch maneuvering which brings it to almost the same level as the iphone.

-I think right now this is just the ultimate Windows Mobile Device out there and nothing can compare to it. Can't wait to have my hands on one!

Deciding between Touch Pro 2 and the Iphone.

Right now the iphone is loosing because
- 3.0 aint out yet which solves a lot of things the current iphone has like cut and paste!
- no turn by turn GPS (which will also be solved by 3.0)
- if something goes wrong with the software, I have to take it to apple, I cant re-flash it myself.
- Apple is just too exclusive, kinda like why I hated winmo years ago and why I loved PALM instead.


WinMo is winning because
- It's winmo- tons of aps online for free
- It's winmo- you can flash the ROM anytime and change the look of it making you feel you have a new phone all the time.
- I can fix the software myself if something goes wrong with it.
- Allows me to backup everything via memory card. This fail-safe option is just life saving sometimes.

Oh well, it all depends on Globe Telecom. I already texted my agent if she could get the touch pro 2 for me,if she can't, then iphone it is.

I am on a gadget lust mode now.

Missing Computex 2009

just about a week to the event, I canceled everything due to Swine Flu risk. I am partly regretting it but the risk is too high for me, not with my 6 month old kid at home. I am sure there are tons of new gadgets and PC updates there. One thing I would like to see are touch screen LCD monitors going mainstream. Oh well, next year I am sure I will be there.

Windows 7 32bit and 64bit RC versions are out

I know this news maybe a little delayed but I just recently got a copy of both. Currently testing the 32bit version and soon will test the 64 bit. So far so good, no bug at all. My tests are real world application usage. Will post results soon.

Oh, I am also testing it with the latest ASUS 4890 which is an awesome video card If I may say so.. Watch out for my review on that as well.

The ASUS Overclocking SHOW- One for the books.

History was made yesterday, May 23, 2009 at the SM City CEBU as our very own local Cebuano enthusiasts locked up head to head in the first BIGGEST overclocking show done in the Philippines.

Asus Overclocking Show soon to HIT CEBU!

The first ever Overclocking show in the Philippines, organized by ASUS, will soon hit the shores of CEBU. ASUS, together with techisland, www.fineupgrades.com, Silverstone, OCZ, Sunbeamtech and CBX, will put on the biggest overclocking event ever done in the Philippines. It will feature two teams, each comprised of CEBU's BEST Overclocking Enthusiasts. This event is open to the public and will be held in SM City Cebu.

For those of you who don't know, overclocking is a way to push your current PC hardware to work above its box specifications. Mostly, Processors, video cards and rams are the main elements that can be overclocked.

To find out more about overclocking, don't forget to check the events out, prizes are at stake for participants and the viewers as well!
